ONEIRIC ART

(from the Greek oneiros — dream) is an artistic direction focused on the representation of the world of dreams, the subconscious and states of fantasy uncontrolled by reason. It is an art of the nocturnal imaginary, where the rules of physics, space and time are suspended.

Main characteristics
Absurdity and unusual juxtapositions: Objects from reality are placed in impossible or bizarre contexts (for example, melting clocks).
Hypnotic atmosphere: The works often convey a sense of mystery, melancholy, suspense or nightmare.
Deep symbolism: The images used rarely have a direct meaning; they function as markers of emotions, fears or hidden desires.
Dream logic: Spaces are often distorted, perspective is exaggerated, and elements seem to dissolve or transform into each other.
